I am new to the Parish Council and have lived in Bovingdon for nine years. I have two children and four grandchildren. I serve on the Planning, Outdoors and Finance & General Purposes Committees. I have a particular interest in planning matters and improving the High Street.
My husband and I moved to Bovingdon in 2009, together with our three children and four dogs, which keeps family life busy! I serve on the Planning, Outdoors and Memorial Hall Management Committees, and the new Communications and High Street Sub Committees. I have a keen interest in local planning and development issues impacting the village.
I have lived in Bovingdon for seven years and I became a Parish Councillor in May 2015, having decided to become more involved in the community. I currently work locally for a team of Financial Advisers, but also have experience in both policing and education. In my spare time I volunteer for the NSPCC. I believe, by working together as residents of Bovingdon, we can make positive changes to our village.
I have lived locally for much of my life and moved to Bovingdon four years ago, joining the Parish Council in May 2015. I am keen to work with the community to help create a safer and environmentally friendly village. I report to the Council on community safety matters such as the DriveSafe Campaign and represent the Parish on the Dacorum Community Safety Partnership. In addition, I chair the Personnel Committee.
I have been a Parish Councillor for 13 years and have lived in the village for 17. I have been mainly involved with the Memorial Hall as the Chairman of the Management Committee and stood as a Councillor originally, as I believe rather than moan and complain you should take action. Since joining the Council the Memorial Hall has been fully refurbished and we are now working on how to improve the forecourt and paving areas around the Memorial Hall.
I am also on the Finance & General Purposes, Personnel and Outdoors Committees, deliver the Bovingdon News to distributors and have produced it in the past. I am also involved with other groups in the village and have been Treasurer of the Ladybirds for 16 years.
I joined the Parish Council six years ago and have lived in Bovingdon since 2003. I currently coach the Bovingdon U18’s football team and have been involved with the club since 2007. Prior to joining the Parish Council I assisted a like minded group of parents in getting the secondary school admissions process changed. I can often be seen running the streets of Bovingdon and Flaunden and I am heading up the Parish Council’s Parish fun run in September 2018.
I moved to Bovingdon in late 2013 with my wife Alice, who had previously lived in the village during her schooldays. We share a house with our two sons, and our cat Cato. I work as a journalist in London. We have a great network of family and friends in the village, and I am keen others get the most out of our village as I have. I am chair of the Finance Committee and also serve on the Memorial Hall Committee.
I joined the Parish Council in May 2015 and serve on the Planning, Outdoors and Memorial Hall Management Committees. I have lived in the village for 30 years and have been involved with various societies, the lunch club and have opened our garden for charity on numerous occasions.
